Hosting one or more students on site can open their eyes to the reality of what it is like in a variety of settings, industries and careers. We invite you to consider options such as Intern for a Day & Career Shuttles.

Intern for a Day

Intern for a Day connects current UMD students with alumni, parents/family members, and employers for short-term job shadowing opportunities to explore potential career fields.  In fall 2018, 150+ hosts in a wide variety of fields and industries hosted 300+ UMD students through this program.  Intern for a Day is very popular with Terps!

Registration is Now Open for our Spring 2019 Program!

Career Shuttles/Site Visits

We are always looking for interesting sites to bring a group of students and faculty/staff to visit.  During these tours, the host employer typically arranges a tour and opportunities to hear firsthand from current employees, including interns, about their roles.  If interested, please contact Allynn Powell.
