Career Shuttle: Wolf Trap
Join us on a Career Shuttle to Wolf Trap on Friday, September 8! The Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts puts on 100+ performances a year in unique venues throughout its 117-acre grounds.
During our visit we will learn more about internships and apprenticeships at Wolf Trap. Paid internships are available to current students and recent graduates in a wide variety of departments ranging from communication, event planning, graphic design, development, education and more. Opera Apprenticeships in fields ranging from arts administration to costuming, communication and more are open to college graduates. Learn more about opportunities with Wolf Trap here: http://www.wolftrap.org/education/programs/internships.aspx
After an information session, we will receive a tour of the facilities and hope to go "behinds the scenes" in one of the venues with a Terp alumnus.
On Friday, September 8, we will meet in the University Career Center (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) at 8:30 am. Depending on traffic, we should be back to campus around 1:30 pm. You may want to bring lunch/a snack for the bus ride back to campus.
Students of all majors (undergraduate & graduate) are welcome to attend.
Space is limited. Once the bus is full, you will be added to our waiting list and notified if a spot opens up.
Due to the limited space and the expected high demand for this trip, we will be enforcing our "no show" policy. If you find you cannot attend this event, please contact Kate Juhl at email@example.com so that someone from the waiting list may take your spot. If you fail to attend this event, we will charge your student account $25 to recover some of our lost costs.
