Digital Media Boot Camp (Session Two of Three)
Topic One 4 - 5 p.m. : Defining your personal brand
You will hear from 4-5 employers in a panel format discussion how to brand yourself professionally in the digital media industry. You will get tips and details of what empliyers look for and how to speak to your passion in this industry. Students will be provided with industry sound bites and trends that are happening today to make yourself a competitive candidate in this field.
Attending employers: Blue State Digitial, Tenable, Upside Travel, Yext & Burson-Marsteller
Topic Two: 5-6 p.m. : Resume, Online Portfolio, Writing Sample and Elevator Pitch Review
After the panel, employers will break into different tables and topic areas to work with a small group of students and evaluate your online presence and work samples. Students will also have the opportunity to practice networking and their elevator pitch / brand strategy with the employers.
This is a great place to network with employers to learn about opportunities that exist at their organization. Come prepared with your resume and creative materials.
