Event Details

The Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) is the law enforcement and security arm of the U.S. Department of State. It bears the core responsibility for providing a safe environment for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy.

DSS SA Justin Franklin (Special Agent Recruiter) will share information regarding the mission of the DSS and personal insights regarding his distinguished career. Attend this session to learn about the hiring process and gain tips for enhancing your candidacy to become a DSS Special Agent. Additionally, internship opportunities will be discussed.

This session is targeted at undergraduate criminology and criminal justice majors as well as students interested in law enforcement careers. All undergraduate and graduate UMD students are welcome to attend.
