University Career Center Staff

Director

The Director provides strategic direction for Center, brokers campus partnerships, chairs Senior Staff, directs first destination survey and other assessment measures, spearheads new career education initiatives and convenes Academic Advisory Group.

Academic Partnerships

The Academic Partnerships team integrates career development activities into curricula, develops college-based career events and advises college-based students on a range of career development topics.

Assessment

The Assessment team oversees the first destination survey and other assessment measures.

Career Education & Exposure

The Career Education & Exposure team teaches three online career courses: EDCP108i, PSYC123 and UNIV099. They coordinate career exposure programs, including Intern for a Day, advise students of all majors on a range of career development topics, tailor career development programs for diversity, equity and inclusion partners and field requests for classroom presentations.

Employer Relations & External Partnerships

The Employer Relations & External Partnerships team leads employer engagement and recruitment activities, including Fall/Spring Career & Internship Fairs, interviews, job postings, and employer outreach. They advise students on job searching, networking, and professional behaviors and serve as primary liaison to career centers in Robert H. Smith School of Business and A. James Clark School of Engineering. 

Relations and Engagement

The Relations and Engagement team provides leadership to the Center, campus, and external partners in delivering career services to international students, doctoral students, and alumni. They supervise Event Planning and Client Services supporting the Center.

Operations

The Operations team administers budget and Center’s human resources functions, manages facilities maintenance and business operations and oversees IT support functions.
