When is the Fall Career Fair?

All UMD undergraduates, graduates, and alumni are invited to attend the Fall Career & Internship fair, the largest recruiting event of the semester, September 24-26, 2024!

Students can sign up for the fair in Handshake. Pre-registration is not required.

The fair is an excellent opportunity for Terps, Terp-Alum, and employers to connect at our biggest campus recruitment event of the season.

Departmental Campus Career Fairs

Are you looking for an internship, part-time or full-time job related to communication, marketing, public relations, digital media, event planning or other related fields? Don't miss our inaugural Communication & Media Career & Internship Fair! 

Connect with organizations looking to hire for part-time, internship and full-time positions in these fields and learn about ways to build your experience on our campus.

The University of Maryland's Department of Computer Science Internship and Career Fair is a bi-annual event in which high-profile companies gather to meet undergraduate, graduate, and PhD computer science students who are looking for challenging and rewarding internships, co-ops, and full-time careers that will value and foster their technical capabilities.

The CS Career and Internship Fair is only open to current students from the programs listed below and Computer Science Alumni.

The ECON Networking & Career Night connects students with UMD alumni and employers working in the areas of applied economics research, policy analysis, financial services, and consulting with federal government and private sector organizations throughout the DC Metro area. 

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to gain tips from over 20+ employers and UMD alumni working in the field of economics to learn about career options and identify job and internship leads. Limited spots are available, so register today! Current UMD Master of Professional Studies in Applied Economics students and sophomore, junior, and senior level UMD Economics majors are strongly encouraged to attend!!

  • Details: The University of Maryland's Merrill College of Journalism Internship and Career Fair is an annual event. Attendees include local and national journalism organizations including newspapers, television, digital publications and more. Undergraduate and graduate students who are looking for challenging and rewarding internships and positions that will support their journalism careers of all majors are welcome.

The Smith School Office of Career Services is excited to host its annual Fall Smith Undergraduate Career Fair! The Smith Undergraduate Career Fair brings together top employers and talented business school students at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. All Smith undergraduate students and Smith undergraduate alumni are welcome to attend this fair. Students will be seeking externships, internships and full-time opportunities from all eight business majors: accounting, finance, marketing, supply chain management, operations management and business analytics, information systems, management, and international business.

Advocacy, Legal, & Government Networking Night connects current students with UMD alumni and employers working in legal services, law enforcement, and the nonprofit/social justice field.

Learn more about future career paths in AI for individuals with an arts and humanities background from UMD alum Jack Chen. Jack will share more about his career path from ARHU to AI during this virtual career chat. After a moderated conversation, there will be time for student Q&A.

Computer Science Alum Chris Nakamura, who works as a software engineer at Google, will visit campus to talk about his experience navigating the CS major and his career in tech! Students can expect to learn about how the work done as a CS major translates into the work world and gain insight into pursuing roles at competitive tech organizations like Google.

While this event is open to all majors, students in tech-related majors are most likely to find this program beneficial.

Employer Industry Meetups

Industry specific recruiting roundtables for employers and students to connect.

The University Career Center is excited to host the Agriculture, Animal, and Food Meetup. This event brings together various organizations from the agriculture, animal sciences, and food industries. It's an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students eager to explore internships and full-time job opportunities in these fields. You can network with prospective employers and discover companies looking to hire you by attending!

All University of Maryland students are invited to the inaugural Creative Tech Recruiter Meetup on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from Noon - 3 p.m. in the Atrium Room of the Stamp Student Union. 

This smaller-scale, boutique career fair will showcase opportunities at the intersection of creativity/art and technology. Come explore career options with employers seeking to hire students and alumni interested in fields like UX/UI, web development, game design, product design, etc.
