Info Session
Join Teach For America, in partnership with the University of Maryland College of Arts and Sciences, for a virtual alumni panel featuring UMD graduates who have leveraged their undergraduate experiences to become leaders through Teach For America.
During this interactive session, TFA and UMD alumni will reflect on how their academic majors, campus involvement, and extracurricular experiences prepared them to successfully apply to the Teach For America corps. Panelists will also share candid insights into their time as corps members, the leadership and professional skills they developed in the classroom, and how those skills continue to shape their careers today.
Our panelists represent a wide range of post-TFA pathways, including a current Harvard Law student, an ESOL educator, a medical student, a business owner, and a teacher leader. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how Teach For America can serve as a launching point for impactful careers in education, law, medicine, and beyond.
This event is open to all UMD students in the College of Arts and Sciences who are interested in leadership, educational equity, and learning how their undergraduate experiences can translate into meaningful, purpose-driven work.
