Join the University Career Center for an interactive workshop designed to help students build confidence and prepare effectively for interviews.

Location: University Career Center, 3100 Hornbake Library South Wing

Join the University Career Center for an interactive workshop designed to help students build confidence and prepare effectively for interviews. Students will learn about different interview formats, including phone, virtual, asynchronous, case, and technical interviews, with practical tips for approaching each. The session will focus especially on behavioral interviewing, including how to prepare for common questions, research an employer and role, and develop clear, compelling examples that highlight skills and experiences. Students will leave with strategies to feel more prepared, communicate their experiences effectively, and approach interviews with greater confidence.
 

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, students will be able to:

  • Identify different types of interview formats and strategies for preparing for each.
  • Recognize key information to research about an employer and position before an interview.
  • Develop and organize “power stories” that clearly communicate your skills, experiences and strengths.
