Join the University of Maryland Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) for a unique, educational and fun evening. Together, we will learn the basics of networking, share some spooky networking stories and end the night with a fun-filled networking activity.
As part of the program, we’re creating space for attendees to share personal networking “nightmares” that didn’t go as planned (think: the awkward introduction or the freezing after being asked “so tell me about yourself”). Bring your best (worst?) networking nightmare to share with the group.
Fair warning: Keep your networking nightmares lighthearted and PG, leave out names of people or companies, and remember sharing is always optional.

Jenny Sak
(she/her/hers)
Jenny Sak, a Lao-Cambodian American, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Currently, serves as a full-time Program Manager for the University Career Center and The President's Promise at UMD. Jenny is also a first-generation PhD candidate in the Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy Program with a concentration in Student Affairs. Her research focuses on children of immigrants, racial trauma and racialization.
