Security Industry Association (SIA) - Security Networking Meetup

Location: University Career Center, 3100 Hornbake Library South Wing

Join us for the Security Industry Association (SIA) meet up on Thursday, April 30 from 2-4 pm at the University Career Center. SIA member organizations will be sharing information about their organizations and potential career paths, and some will be recruiting for current roles. This will be a great opportunity for networking, exploring the industry, and practicing your elevator pitch!

This industry encompasses a broad range of roles, from AI software development and architectural engineering to investment firms and specialized consulting. Whether you are interested in technical roles, business strategy, or infrastructure design, the security sector offers a landscape for professional growth.

Organizations in this field range from global manufacturers to boutique service providers, and they are looking for the next generation of talent. This is an opportunity to explore a reliable and evolving career path where you can contribute to the safety and security of communities worldwide.

SIA is one of the 3 founding members FAST - the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (along with the Electronic Security Association (ESA) and the PSA Security Network (PSA). Academic membership in SIA for students gives you access to reports, webinars, email newsletters and communications, as well as access to regional networking events and participation in their RISE community for young security professionals. The annual fee of $20 will be waived if students fill out the Student Member Interest Form.
