1OF1 #FIRSTGENTERPS Program is your gateway to a world of career exposure and education. Designed to enhance your career readiness, expand your resources, and create a strong support network, this event celebrates your unique journey as a first-generation college student and equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in the professional world and work culture.
WHO ARE #FIRSTGENTERPS? “A first-generation college student at UMD is defined as “a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor's degree,” which means that you will be the first one to begin an educational legacy for your family by being 1 OF 1 #FIRSTGENTERPS (University of Maryland, n.d).
