Interning at the Cato Institute
Cato’s Student Programs Manager, Pericles Niarchos, will lead a conversation with defense and foreign policy intern Juan Garcia-Nieto and trade intern Lin Shi.
This conversation will offer unique, first-person perspectives into what it’s like to be a Cato intern and will include unique insights into Cato’s application process that are designed to help prospective applicants stand out from the crowd.

Free Speech
Cato senior fellow Cathy Young and Cato policy analyst Will Duffield.
Cathy Young and Will Duffield explore how liberal societies should approach disagreements about truth, trust, and expertise. Even as the coronavirus pandemic fades, epistemic controversies continue to hobble investigative inquiry. Can we maintain a healthy skepticism of official and institutional modes of knowledge without stumbling onto crankdom? How can we best address the failures of both bottom-up and top-down approaches to knowledge? What are the best ways for the government, civil society, and individuals to sort fact from fiction and correct the record?
