Location: University Career Center, 3100 Hornbake Library - South Wing, 3rd Floor (Classroom, not library side).

Amtrak is excited to hire motivated and energetic students into our growing Internship and Co-Op program. These internship opportunities allow students to apply the skills they’ve learned in academic programs in a real-world setting. We have opportunities for students in all areas of study, from HR to Engineering and beyond. Our interns and co-ops play an integral role in achieving Amtrak’s mission of providing an efficient and effective intercity passenger rail system consisting of high-quality service that is trip-time competitive with other intercity travel options.

If you are a student who is eager to learn the intricacies of how our departments work together to operate America’s only intercity passenger railroad, are motivated to solve real business problems and contribute ideas, and are excited to work alongside top leaders in the transportation industry we invite you to join our team.

In order to qualify, students must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree-granting program at an accredited college or university, with at least 1 full year of academic study completed and a 2.8 cumulative minimum GPA. Amtrak interns and co-ops must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship and receive competitive hourly pay rates.
