How to Disclose a Disability to an Employer

Whether or not to disclose a disability to an employer is an important concern for many students. This workshop will help you to understand whether, when, and to whom it may be right for you to disclose a disability. We will review considerations focused on:

1. You — your disability, your needs, your values;

2. The employer — to determine how inclusive the organization is; and

3. The law — what protections and what responsibilities does it provide?

The best answer to “should I disclose?” is, “it depends.” This workshop will help you to make that important decision. This workshop will be conducted virtually on a monthly basis.
