Ever wonder how new products come to market? Or how your degree in STEM can contribute to this process? Is grad school necessary if you want to work in research or get a STEM job? Learn about the process of bringing products to market, moving through the stages of research and development, environmental testing, and regulatory review. Speakers will provide insight into scientific career opportunities at each phase of the process, including the unique challenges and problem-solving that occurs. First, Eurofins, a contract research organization, will give an introduction to the market as a whole. This will be followed by a panel in which professionals from EPA, FDA, and Eurofins, will come together to share their insights and then answer panel-style questions about their career in this field. This is an opportunity for students from the biological sciences, chemistry, environmental science, and agriculture to learn about interrelated but distinct career paths. All majors are welcome, but STEM majors are likely to find this panel most relevant to their areas of study.
