City Teaching Alliance

Location: Virtual Event

On Tuesday, April 16th from 7-8pm EST, join City Teaching Alliance as we present: Leaders for Impact: Promoting Intersectionality and Social Justice in Urban Education. This workshop explores how intersecting identities and social categories such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, and more can impact educational experiences and outcomes.

The presentation highlights strategies for recognizing and addressing these complex intersections to create more inclusive and equitable learning environments. It emphasizes the importance of acknowledging the unique challenges faced by students with multiple marginalized identities and provides actionable insights for educators to tailor their approaches accordingly.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of intersectionality's role in urban education and learn practical techniques for fostering social justice, inclusivity, and positive educational outcomes for all students.
