  • January 11: Interviewing Techniques
    • Join the staff of the Recruitment Policy and Outreach (RPO) division of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), for an in-depth presentation on the Federal Government interview process.  It explains the types of interviews, delivery methods, common questions, responding using the Situation/Task, Action, Result (STAR) method and preparing for an interview.
  • January 17: Navigating the Federal Hiring Process Series: Crafting Your Resume
    • As the nation’s preeminent public health promotion, protection, preparedness, and prevention agency, CDC works 24/7 to conduct critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against public health threats, both foreign and domestic. Join us for this informative session to hear directly from CDC Recruiters to gain expert knowledge on how to craft your federal resume, tackle the assessment questionnaire, and discover ways to becoming the most competitive applicant during your federal job application process.   • January 18: Navigating USAJOBS
    • This information session will provide an in-depth, step-by-step, live demonstration on how to navigate the USAJOBS website.  We cover job searching, creating your account/profile, reviewing job announcements, applying for jobs and how to track your application.
  • January 19: HHS Navigating Federal Employment
    • Human Resources Executives at the US Department of Health and Human Services are sponsoring an interactive workshop for all faculty, staff, and students applying to career and internship opportunities with the federal government. During this workshop, participants will learn about HHS’s Pathways to Public Service internship program and how to best prepare for the application process. Professional tips will be given on creating and utilizing a USA Jobs account, drafting a federal resume, and interviewing for positions on the federal level.

    • The Forest Service is hosting webinars to help you through the application process. Join us and get answers to your questions. 
  • January 26: Virtual Information Session about Federal Resumes and Application Tips
    • During this event we will provide you information on federal resumes, application tips and the application process.
  • January 30: Writing your Resume for Federal Jobs
    • Job seekers will be able to apply for positions using a resume and an optional cover letter.  This information session will provide participants with information on how best to write a resume that highlights strengths, accomplishments and results.  You will learn what information to include on your resume, tips to market yourself how to describe your experience.  Participants will leave this session armed with information to craft an effective resume.
