Admitted Student Panel (Med/Dent) (ESJ 0202)

This panel features three applicants from the 2022 cycle who received offers of admission from medical or dental schools. Participants in this session can expect to gain a better understanding of the admissions process from an applicant perspective. Whether you are an applicant for the 2023 cycle or an underclassmen earlier on in your journey, this panel will offer you points to consider as you set goals for your career in healthcare.
Mastering Multiple Mini Interviews & Scenario-based Interviews (ESJ 0202)
Moderator: Rebecca Ryan, Program Director, CMNS/Career Services

A growing number of schools use multiple mini interviews to assess the strengths and competencies of applicants. Join us for a workshop on interview skills, then observe interview simulations and engage in small group discussions on how to best approach challenging questions.
Student Lightning Talks (ESJ 0215)

Current & former students will present ‘Ideas Worth Sharing’ during this TedxTalk style presentation. We will hear from students with varying backgrounds about how their unique experiences have shaped their understanding/approach to healthcare.
Suture Clinic (ESJ 1215)
Suggested: All Pre-Health Students
This suture clinic will be hosted by The US Army Medical Corps. You will learn about different types of lacerations and wound care, discuss suturing skills and practice your suturing techniques!
Use this time to take a a break, network with attending organizations, or participate in the manual dexterity contest.
Symposium participants are welcome to pack a lunch or purchase lunch at the nearby Adele H. Stamp Student Union.
Common Application Prep (ESJ 0202)

We will take a deep dive into the professional school common application services. Advisors and students will discuss common/challenging application prompts and responses, identify and articulate activities, and develop a well-rounded narrative.
