Drop-Ins with an undergraduate Peer Career Educator

**Fall 2024 drop-ins have concluded.  Drop-ins will resume on Mon, Jan 27, 2025 for the spring semester.

Undergraduate students are welcome to drop by the University Career Center for quick assistance with one of our undergraduate Peer Career Educators.  Drop-ins are appropriate for 15-minute resume reviews, cover letter reviews, and best practices on Handshake.


Schedule a 30-Minute Appointment with a Career Advisor in Handshake

Career advising appointments are available in Handshake for current UMD students (undergrad, master’s and doctoral) and alumni less than one year post-graduation. You can choose in-person or virtual appointments.

To schedule an appointment:

  1. Log into Handshake with your UMD CAS log-in.
  2. Once logged in, click on "Career Center" in the left navigation bar and then click "Appointments."
  3. Click "Schedule A New Appointment" and then select the appointment type that is the best fit for your questions or concerns.
  4. Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your appointment. You will also receive a reminder email of your appointment and you can revisit your appointment details in Handshake.

If you graduated from UMD over a year ago, and have not continued your education at another professional or graduate school post-graduation, you may request one 30-minute appointment for career guidance. Appointment times are limited. Please schedule with Linda LeNoir in Handshake.
