Through volunteer and educational programs, you can share your own career journey, pivotal learning experiences, industry tips, and general feedback. These options help to brand your organization, can lead to lasting connections with future talent, and ultimately support the development of UMD students.

Career Fair Prep Assistance
We are seeking in-person employer support to help prepare UMD students for our upcoming Fall 2024 Career & Internship Fairs! Below is a sign-up form to support students through:
- In-person resume reviews and quick career fair tips/best practices taking place in the afternoon of Thurs, Sept 19, Fri, Sept 20 and Mon, Sept 23
- Pizza & Prepare for the Fair event on Mon, Sept 23, 2024

Career Course Assistance
Employer/alumni partners are invited to volunteer to support the 400+ students registered in the University Career Center's two 1-credit career courses, with two live virtual experiences: (1) a resume review and (2) a mock interview. The two courses are PSYC123: The Psychology of Getting Hired and EDCP108i: Academic Transitions to Internships (for students seeking their first internship experience).

Intern For A Day
Intern for a Day connects current undergraduate students with alumni, parents, and employers for in-person job shadowing or virtual informational interviewing experiences to explore potential career fields. We typically place 300-400 students with professionals each semester! Our Host Guide features information about the purpose of the program as well as information that can support you as you plan to host UMD students for job shadowing opportunities.
Fall 2024's host registration will open in late July 2024. You can email ifad@umd.edu to express interest in hearing when registration opens!
