2023 Spring Career & Internship Fair
The fair is an excellent opportunity to connect with thousands of talented and innovative Terps at our biggest campus recruitment event of the season. With the option to engage in-person and online, this fair is a great way to source top talent at UMD.

- 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- All Majors (Including STEM): Employers seeking students of all backgrounds are encouraged to register for this day.

- STEM & All Majors: Employers seeking STEM students & students with general skillsets are encouraged to register for this day.

- STEM & Engineering Focus: Employers seeking students with science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematical skillsets and backgrounds are encouraged to register for this day.

- This will be an excellent opportunity for employers and students to connect virtually.
- Employers will have the option to conduct virtual one-on-one conversations with Terps and candidate screenings.
- This date also serves as the back-up weather date (virtual only).
Locations:
The in-person fair will be held at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland's College Park campus. The virtual fair will be supported online using the Careers4Terps Symplicity Recruiting Platform.
Registration Fees:
We offer different pricing levels so organizations of all types and sizes are able to participate. Each 8' booth includes a 6' table and can accommodate up to four representatives and includes parking, lunch, and refreshments for each. Additional representatives are $100 each.

- For-Profit Corporations: $800 per booth per day
- Government Entities: $635 per booth per day
- Non-Profit Organizations: $250 per booth per day
- Small Businesses & Start-Up's*: $100 per booth per day
- Virtual Attendance (2/24 Only)
- For-Profit Corporations: $500
- Government Entities: $250
- Non-Profit Organizations: $100
- Small-Businesses & Start-Up's*: $100
- In-Person + Virtual Attendance (Highly Recommended)
- Pay the in-person fee and receive a 50% discount for the virtual day
- Ideal for organizations that wish to engage with students prior to the fair
*Subject to approval. For the purpose of registration, we generally define small-businesses/start-up's as firms that are in the seed-stage through early financing, and/or have been in existence for 5 years or less, and/or have less than eighty employees, and/or exhibit a "rapid-growth" or "early-stage innovation" mindset.

Important Dates & Details
- Late Registration Fee: Prices increase after February 1, 2023
- Cancellation: February 3, 2023
- Employers must submit the cancellation in writing to careerfairs@umd.edu by February 3 at 11:59 p.m. EST to receive a full refund and not owe a fair registration balance. Any employers who cancel after this deadline, for any reason, will remain responsible for payment and no refunds will be administered. Failure to cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline will leave the employer responsible for the registration fee, regardless of circumstances.
- NO SHOW POLICY: Employers who do arrive to participate on the day of the fair will remain responsible for payment.

- Set up an Interview Schedule (Virtual or In-Person): On-campus interviews allow you to interview top UMD candidates in a single day, in one location. This is a great way to follow up with candidates after meeting them at the fair. Schedule interviews at the University Career Center or the Engineering Career Services Office.
- Schedule an Employer Session (Virtual or In-Person): Invite students to learn more about your organization and your hiring needs. Learn more about scheduling a session in the School of Engineering or at the University Career Center/Student Union.
- Host an Intern For A Day (Virtual or In-Person): Intern for a Day provides UMD students with first-hand exposure to your organization and career field through either in-person job shadowing experiences or virtual informational interviews. We welcome representatives from your organization to consider participating in this high-impact experience! If you are an employer who is interested in participating in Intern for a Day, review the Intern for A Day Host Guide. You may also reach out to ifad@umd.edu indicating your interest in order to be added to our email list and to receive the host registration form (if we are actively registering hosts at that time).
